Element Type Effectiveness Chart

All 9 element types, their strengths, and weaknesses

Damage Multipliers: Super effective attacks deal 1.5x damage. Not-very-effective attacks deal 0.5x damage. Same-type attacks against a Pal of that type deal reduced damage. Dual-type Pals can cancel out weaknesses if their types counter each other.

Fire

✓ Strong against: Grass, Ice

✗ Weak to: Water

The only type with 2 strengths. Excellent throughout the entire game — Grass early, Ice late. Fire Pals also handle Kindling at base (smelting, cooking).

Water

✓ Strong against: Fire

✗ Weak to: Electric

Essential for base farming — Watering Pals irrigate crops and power the Crusher and Mill.

Grass

✓ Strong against: Ground

✗ Weak to: Fire

Grass Pals typically have Planting and Medicine Production skills for base work.

Electric

✓ Strong against: Water

✗ Weak to: Ground

Electric Pals power generators and electrical devices at your base.

Ice

✓ Strong against: Dragon

Ice Pals provide Cooling for food preservation and egg incubation.

✗ Weak to: Dark

The only type with no advantages. Avoid using Neutral Pals for type advantage battles.

Dual-Type Mechanics

Dual-type Pals have two strengths and weaknesses. When a type would be both strong and weak against a dual-type Pal, the effects cancel out for neutral damage. Examples:
